The Charles H. Scott Gallery is pleased to present a performance and a talk by Scottish artist Dave Allen. Allen will perform his work Inverted Oh-Ton at 9 pm at the opening of The Sound I’m Looking For in the Charles H. Scott Gallery. He will speak about his practice the following evening (Wednesday) at 7pm in the ECU Theatre.


Allen is known for making drawings, videos, installations, and performance works in which he deals with the relationship between visual art and rock music. In the past Allen has collaborated with artists such as Jonathan Monk, Ross Sinclair, and Douglas Gordon.


Recently Dave Allen had a solo exhibition at the Vienna Secession, the Elastic Gallery in Malmö, and at Art Metropole in Toronto. In addition he has shown extensively including exhibitions in New York, London, Berlin, Glasgow, Stockholm, Zurich, and Seville.
