Jesse Gray is a Vancouver based multi-disciplinary artist whose work deals with labour, handcraft, obsolescence, as well as with the material history of objects, natural systems and cultural-scientific frameworks. She holds an MFA in Studio Arts from the University of British Columbia (2008), and currently teaches stone lithography at Malaspina Printmakers. In her parallel metalwork and jewelry practice, Gray Metal, Jesse works with recycled and found materials such as broken glass from car or store break-ins in her neighbourhood.
