Please join us in the Charles H. Scott Gallery for a talk by Trish Kelly on the exhibition Aspen Magazine: 1965–1971. Kelly is an Associate Professor of Critical + Cultural Studies and Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Culture + Community at Emily Carr. She has published numerous articles in Art Journal, American Art and The Sixties: A Journal of History, Politics, and Culture, on a range of topics including Minimal Art, art and politics in Chicago in the 1960s, US print culture of the early 19th century, and mapping strategies in contemporary art. Currently she is working on a book project titled On-Site: Art, Politics, and Viewers (New York, circa 1970), which explores the possibilities of critical engagement initiated through new models of exhibition and display.
