Kiosk: Modes of Multiplication
Curated by Christoph Keller
Kiosk: Modes of Multiplication is an archive of over 5,000 independent artists’ publications including alternative artzines, and audio works on contemporary art, compiled by German curator and publisher, Christoph Keller. Keller started the Kiosk in 1999—the same year he founded the artist book press, Revolver-Archiv für aktuelle in Frankfurt/Main. The exhibition in Vancouver will mark the Kiosk’s North American debut. It has an impressive exhibition history that includes the Witte de Witt in Rotterdam, Kunst Werk in Berlin, the Istanbul Biennial, the ICA in London and Artspace in Auckland.
Vancouver Special, a series of artists’ books edited by Christoph Keller and Kathy Slade, and featuring new work by Rodney Graham, Sydney Hermant, Mark Soo & Tim Lee, and the Music Appreciation Society will launch at the Kiosk opening.
