In Soixante-neuf, Fiona Banner will present a number of new works produced in Vancouver for this Charles H. Scott Gallery exhibition. Included are drawings from Banner’s Full Stop series, a sexed-up silkscreen “wordscape,” and mixed media works that deal with ideas of authentication and presentation.

Biographies

Fiona Banner is best known for her text works or “still films” addressing language, cinematic culture and repetition. Her work has been featured in significant exhibitions including a solo show at the Tate Britain and the group exhibitions Cinema, Cinema at the Stedelijk Van Abbemuseum and Spellbound at the Hayward.
