The Charles H. Scott Gallery is pleased to present Kota Ezawa: The History of History. Ezawa employs computer animation and drawing to create his own versions or samplings of iconic moments from art history and popular culture. His work comments on the role celebrity, television, film and photography plays in shaping collective experience. The exhibition at the Charles H. Scott includes a series of paper collages, a series of prints, a three channel projection Lennon, Sontag, Beuys, in which the three artists/celebrities speak simultaneously about the possibility for images to inspire social change, and a slide show work entitled The History of Photography Remix.
