Biographies

Cai Guo Qiang is an internationally acclaimed artist from mainland China, now based in New York. He creates spectacular public pyrotechnic installations in diverse locales throughout the world and wall works made with the aid of gunpowder and fire. His work has been included in high profile exhibitions such as The Venice Biennale, Inside Out: New Chinese Art, and the Whitney Biennial.

Speaker Series

The Speaker Series (1989–2006) was a programme of visiting artist talks and lectures. From 2000–2006, talks were co-organized with the Art Now course at ECIAD.
