Biographies
Maura Doyle lives in Toronto where she has established independent and collaborative projects that range in scope from small business ideas, music videos, collections, posters, book works and an on-going button series. Two examples of recent projects are: There’s a New Boulder in Town, an erratic boulder arriving to Toronto by flat bed truck, and the newest edition of an annual shopping catalogue, The Mail Order Catalogue: Add-on Edition. She has exhibited across Canada as well as in the United States and Europe. Doyle is in Vancouver planning a public sculpture for the Or Gallery this spring.
Speaker Series
The Speaker Series (2000–2006) was a programme of visiting artist talks and lectures organized by Charles H. Scott Gallery in conjunction with the Art Now course at ECIAD. The programme was initiated by ECIAD faculty Ian Wallace in the 1970’s as a series of lunchtime artist talks. Wallace ran the programme until 1998.
