Co-organized with Art Now

April 10, 2001, 12:15 PM

Room 328, Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design

Biographies

Myfanwy MacLeod is a Vancouver based artist who employs irony in her exploration of popular culture. Her works include a room-sized inflatable donut character, a mascot costume and a bulging eyes staring from the gallery walls. MacLeod has been included in a number of exhibitions internationally including the Melbourne Biennial. Her exhibition A Brief Overview of Personology at Charles H. Scott Gallery last summer dealt with the world of self-help books and pop culture psychology.

Speaker Series

The Speaker Series (1989–2006) was a programme of visiting artist talks and lectures. From 2000–2006, talks were co-organized with the Art Now course at ECIAD.
