READ Books

READ Books is the bookstore at Libby Leshgold Gallery. READ carries a wide selection of artist monographs, exhibition catalogues, critical theory, artists’ books, and fiction. It supports independent artists’ publishing practices, as well as the academic curriculum at Emily Carr University. READ hosts events such as performances, screenings, book launches, readings, and workshops. READ circulates and promotes ECU Press publications, the name under which Libby Leshgold Gallery publishes books by and about artists, writers and thinkers, and commission print editions.

The mandate of ECU Press is to present the work of emerging Vancouver based artists alongside international artists by publishing artists’ books, monographs, collected writings and music projects.
